OPBF Welcomes Newest Ambassador, Rachel “La Loca” Strauss
September 29, 2025 – New York, NY… Omega Phi Beta Foundation (OPBF) is proud to announce the newest addition to our OPBF Ambassador Program: Rachel “La Loca” Strauss. A passionate advocate and accomplished media professional, Rachel brings her dynamic energy, creativity, and commitment to empowering women to her new role as OPBF Ambassador.
The OPBF Ambassador Program was created to engage passionate individuals and subject-matter experts across S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) fields, who share our commitment to advancing women’s rights and access to education and opportunities in these disciplines.
Our current OPBF Ambassadors represent a diverse range of backgrounds and expertise across all five S.T.E.A.M. pillars:
- Science – Dr. Bayo Curry-Winchell, Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician and Medical Director
- Technology – Ode Hoppie, Music Entertainment Professional and School Administrator
- Engineering – Merryl Tengesdal, Navy/Air Force Veteran, Pilot, Reality TV Star, and Author
- Arts – Martin Medina, Graphic Design Artist
- Mathematics – Dr. Andrea Duhon, Mathematician and Professor
With the support and knowledge of our Ambassador team, OPBF continues its mission to promote, educate, and empower women and girls to pursue studies and careers in S.T.E.A.M. fields.
