OPB Foundation partners with OPBSI on RAY OF HOPE

August 24, 2022… New York, New York – OPB Foundation is proud to announce the partnership with Omega Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.’s Annual Ray of Hope Walk in the areas of STEM and STEAM fields. The Ray of Hope brings to attention that women experience sexual assault at alarming rates and OPBF is committed to doing more to raise awareness through initiatives like the Ray of Hope.

The Ray of Hope Walk is…
…a movement
…a proclamation
…a form of resistance
…an agent of change
Together, we educate, we organize, we heal, we rise.

In recent years, high profile cases of sexual violence have been reported in the STEM fields (astronomy, biology, entomology, linguistics, geology, immunology, paleoanthropology, and physics.). OPBF is committed to doing more to raise awareness through initiatives like the Ray of Hope Walk.

In 2022, OPBSI and OPBF will be partnering with community-based organizations across the country, all focused on creating communities without violence for all of our sisters, siblings and community members. The focus on local action will allow us to catalyze national impact to eliminate violence against women, in our communities locally and globally.

Through OPBF’s Planting Seeds Project, we will be launching activities in the Dominican Republic. We look forward to making an impact that affects our communities, together.
